Lulea University, Sweden
The aim of the project is to create a Russian-Swedish interdisciplinary network of scholars that would focus on studying different aspects of company-community relations in resource extracting sectors and would develop recommendations to policy makers. The network brings together sociologists, lawyers, economists and political scientists. The project contributes to the knowledge of the impacts of legal pluralism and especially non-state governance of natural resources on local resource-extracting communities. It brings new insights to the transdisciplinary study of resource dependent communities.
